Last game of Zooka

Post  Glenn Forbes on Sat Nov 15, 2008 4:17 am

Today game against the Skulls saw the last game of Zooka for the year (the U/10's go to Live Ball next round) & we couldn't have pick a better day for it!

A wet field, muddy batters box, zooka machine that didn't want to work
& more rain to come thing were not looking good,

but we got the game under way late but started, with the help of the "Eagles" zooka machine
With this being the kids last real chance to get some nice hits away the kids came out swing as they always do & the result was hits a plenty (our kids love our zooka). 6 of the 1st 8 batters hit the ball & 17 of 22 who batted got the ball into play which is what's the game is all about.

Our fielding was also A1, with everybody eager to be involved. We had some excellent plays between the pitch & 1st base & a great heads up play from Corey at 1st who took a good catch & then turned the double (just in the nick of time)

A 4-0 win was a good way to finish the 1st half of the season & a 5-3 win loss record is outstanding considering 5 of the 8 players should be playing off a tee.
Keep up the good work kids & continue to have fun playing the game & the results with come.

It's a whole new ball game starting next week with a whole lot of fun to be had!
